Aki Factory Pro Cycling
My downhill life began in 2001. Since then, biking has become an essential part of my life. I use to surf in the summer and ski in the winter before I became fascinated with the Mountain Bike. I am definitely a sports person. My fisrt MTB was a secondhand one, which was bought under the peer pressure of my friends. I sold the bike three days later and bought anohter downhill bike. After three days of speed riding and turning practice, I signed up for a Rokaru primary race held in Osaka and, to my surpries, won first place. The race ignited my devotion to downhill biking. The following year, I enrolled in the Japan Series and ended up with a very poor performance. Feeling frustrated, I pushed myself harder in practice and made alot of progress. However, in one of the rainy races two years later, I fell and broke my collar bone and three ribs. I was forced to quit the game. Three months later, I recoverd from the accident and lost some the earlier performance progress I had made. One and half month's practice later, brought me back to the Japan Series and helped me win fifth place. In 2005 I finally won first place, and in 2006 I was awarded the Seasonal Championship. Pain and sorrow have always accompanied bike raceing. Yet friendship, and wonderful racing experiences, have supported me to keep riding MTB and Downhill. It has been great to have competed in so many races and have friends around me. I will keep rolling to embrace more surprieses and challenges ahead.
